About Maureen Bruns, PA
Maureen Bruns, PA-C is a board-certified certified physician assistant by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She started out at Michigan State University in Veterinary Medicine due to her love for animals. She currently owns chickens, guinea pigs, and rabbits. She decided to take a nutrition course while studying Veterinary Science and fell in love with Dietetics. She quickly changed her major to Nutrition and Dietetics and received her first bachelor degree in 2000. She then went on to complete her masters degree in nutrition. She currently is a Registered Dietitian and enjoys helping people towards their weight management goals. She has a passion for food and loves cooking Indian food. While completing her Masters Degree she received her second bachelors in Physician Assistant Studies. She found a passion for medicine and helping patients. For the majority of her career, she has focused on Physical Medicine & Rehab as well as Pain Management. She finds her work very rewarding and especially when patients are able to have a functional and fulfilling life. She also has a passion for medical acupuncture and studied at The Academy of Pain Research in San Francisco. In 2012 she decided to go back to school for her third Bachelor's Degree in Deaf Community Studies at Madonna University. She graduated in 2018 and has a passion for American Sign Language and working in the Deaf community. Maureen has been a physician assistant for almost 20 years and has enjoyed her career in helping patients achieve their goals. She looks forward to many years serving the community and helping them reach their pain management goals.
